Top Gear’s surprise celebrity guests

Sep 5 2010 Some time back when the team of Top Gear sat down to strategise on how to make the show more popular, they must have thought about getting more top notch celebrities on their show and may have even thought of people like Tom Cruise. But they would have immediately cracked up at visualizing him driving a low budget Korean make hatchback.
However, their dreams more than came true when they had not one but two such top notch celebrities visiting the sets. Yes, both Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz dropped by as part of their promotion of the movie about to release on the 6th of August.
Not only that, they also took rides on the Kia which would be definitely accompanied by attractive car finance schemes when put on sale. They also set up lap times as part of the ‘Reasonably Priced Car’ segment. In fact, Cameron Diaz even went ahead and tried to remove Stig’s helmet in the photo shoot that took place, fully aware that if her success in doing so would even overshadow Tom Cruise as somebody who finally revealed the identity of the rather mysterious test drive.
