Football star Dwight Yorke has been spared a driving ban after being found guilty of speeding offences.
The former Manchester United and Aston Villa forward, who now plies his trade at Sunderland, was accused of travelling 95 mph on the A179 in Hartlepool last July.
Car Loans and Car Finance customers may like to know that Yorke was fined £315 and given three penalty points for his misdemeanours.
He was represented by barrister Nick Freeman, who is known as Mr Loophole after representing a string of high-profile clients on driving charges, including David Beckham.
Mr Freeman said: "Dwight had always accepted he was speeding. He accepted that to the officers at the time. The only issue was the speed that he was travelling and that was clearly resolved today."
Yorke joined Sunderland from Sydney FC in 2006.
