Premier League footballer Dave Kitson has been charged with failing to provide a breath sample after his car was stopped by police.
The 27-year-old star - who Car Loans customers may know plays for Reading - was stopped by officers last Wednesday near his Berkshire home.
Van loans and Car Credit customers may like to know that Kitson has been charged with failing to give a breath sample and failing to co-operate in providing a sample and will face Reading Magistrates Court on January 18th. His Car Finance status may be affected.
A Reading Football Club spokesman told the BBC: "We can confirm that a player has been arrested in connection with a drink-driving allegation and is due to appear in court. This is a police matter and we cannot make any further comment."
Kitson joined Reading from Cambridge United in 2003.
