There have been many instances of celebrities getting caught by the law for speeding in their vehicles and on most of the occasions; their celebrity status has not helped them in getting away scot free.
So it was with ace English soccer star Ashley Cole, as he found himself caught by the speed gun. He was travelling at more than a hundred miles per hour in a zone where the maximum speed should not have been more than fifty. He was driving his black Lamborghini Gallardo in Surrey when this incident occurred. Besides a conviction following a warning already issued to him earlier about getting barred from driving on the road, this star could find that he has to shell out more for his insurance.
The star has defended him self saying that he was not speeding intentionally and was only trying to get away from paparazzi at the Magistrates’ Court. However, the chairwoman Judith Jewell made it known that this was not a tenable argument and that the bench would go by the police officer. Moreover, it was also proved that the speed gun was functioning properly.
They have also not found any photographers chasing Cole and that means he would have to abide by the ruling.
