Model and TV star takes eco test drive
Mar 18 2009Supermodel and star of celebrity TV show Strictly Come Dancing Jodie Kidd has shown her support for the environment by taking part in an eco test drive.
A scheme has been organised by FIAT whereby drivers, such as Car Finance customers, attending ten of its dealerships in London will be given the opportunity to take a test drive in a 500 city car model fitted with a Blue&Me entertainment and communications system.
The system is fitted with a USB key that logs the driver's performance and provides tips on how to enhance their environmental driving style.
Ms Kidd commented: "The Fiat 500 is a lovely car."
"And eco:Drive technology is absolutely right for the moment. People should be thinking more about their driving and the environment - it's a great idea," she added.
Ms Kidd recently launched the Total 10 Eco Challenge - an initiative that can help car finance customers cut their environmental output by following ten simple steps.
