The Jaguar E-Type – Iconic and Sexy
Feb 13 2010Lavishing oneself with gifts is something all of us indulge in from time to time on befitting occasions, but when it came to Top Gear anchor Richard Hammond, his fortieth birthday was indeed super special. He decided to purchase two unique gifts in the form of the vintage JAGUAR E-Type and the Aston Martin DBS Volante which has been hailed as one of the best creations from the Aston Martin stable. The cars cost him £50,000 and £175,000 respectively. As if this was not enough, his wife also presented him with a Kawasaki bike. Of course, all these would have been outright and not on any easy car loan or easy Car Credit schemes.
The Jaguar E-type continues to hold its position as of the sexiest cars and is something that anybody would love to possess. It has an engine that produces a clean 265bhp performance and is still capable of doing the 0-60 dash in about six seconds.
The Aston Volante has a 5.9 liter V12 engine which can deliver a handy 510bhp. But it is the overall aluminium casing that lends it a pretty sophisticated and elegant look.
