A "tax busting" MAZDA saloon could prompt new car loan applications after it scooped a prestigious industry award.
The all-new Mazda6 has been crowned best new car at the 2008 Fleet World Honours and could now have further appeal to Car Finance customers looking to save money.
The latest version of the model produces around 20 per cent less CO2 than its predecessors, putting it in a lower tax band.
Awards judge George Emmerson said: "It is an attractive and comfortable car with impressive performance figures."
Car finance customers could also be attracted by a starting price of £15,110 for the 1.8 S five-door version of the car.
Mazda said weight reducing techniques were behind the drop in emissions for the vehicle, which also boasts five trim level options.
Mazda also produces the MX5, Mazda5, and the Mazda2, which holds the title of World Car of the Year 2008.
