Mazda reports strong performance
Mar 12 2009More Britons may have taken out Car Credit to invest in a new MAZDA model last month, as figures have shown an increase in the firm's UK market share.
Mazda has reported positive highlights for February, including achieving a 2.4 per cent market share in the UK, as well as in other European countries, where the brand's share rose by an estimated 0.1 per cent compared with February 2008.
The figures come despite the firm's lower retail volumes, with European passenger car market share rising by 0.3 per cent in the last year.
Mazda suggests that the car scrappage scheme in Germany has influenced some motorists - potentially including Car Finance customers - to get back into the showrooms as the brand has performed particularly well in the country.
Such a scheme has also been suggested in the UK to boost the suffering motor industry by potentially increasing demand among car credit customers to invest in a new, greener model.
