The new Mazda3 model has been launched, with the company focusing on the car's new eco-friendly and fuel-efficient technology.
According to the marque, the latest model includes "fuel-stretching 'i-stop' (Smart Idling Stop System) technology", meaning the car does not waste fuel when it is not moving.
That could help to raise the interest in MAZDA used cars by highlighting the company's commitment to fuel efficiency and developing environmentally-friendly options.
"The all-new Mazda3 is going to be even more popular than its best-selling predecessor," claimed Mark Cameron, sales and marketing director at Mazda Motors UK.
That could help to increase the number of the model's predecessors being made available to the used car market.
"Both retail and fleet customers will benefit from the dramatic carbon dioxide reductions Mazdas engineers have achieved to bring models below the 120 gram per kilometre (g/km) and 160 g/km tax thresholds," he added.
Many car manufacturers are looking to develop more environmentally-friendly vehicles as a way to boost demand in the car market.
Toyota's Prius has performed well in the US market over recent years despite the overall slump in demand for new cars because of its hybrid technology, which means the vehicle switches between using petrol and electricity, substantially improving fuel efficiency for drivers.
