British consumers looking to use their Car Credit for a safe vehicle may be interested to read that the Mazda6 has gained top safety accreditations.
In crash tests, the model was awarded a five-star rating by Euro NCAP, also being given the top mark for protection of child and adult occupants.
Additionally, the firm has said that electronic stability control is now standard on its new line-up of Mazda6 models.
Fleet and remarketing director at the car brand, Peter Allibon, said that decision-makers in the fleet vehicle-buying industry are being steered towards ensuring their company vehicles are as safe as possible.
"Ensuring a car is fit for purpose is a key requirement of a company's duty of care responsibility towards not only its at-work drivers but other road users," he added.
Last month, the firm revealed that strong residual values for the Mazda6 2.2-litre diesel models should ensure that the model is among the first choice of vehicle for fleet operators who are conscious of their costs.
