Car Finance customers considering purchasing a new commercial vehicle may be interested to learn that Office2Office has become one of the first companies to add MERCEDES Sprinter ECO-Start vans to its fleet.
The vehicles have been supplied by Carillion Fleet management and have been modified so the ECO-Start system on/off button, which cuts the ignition when the vehicle is stationary, cannot be overridden and works at all times.
It is hoped the vans will enable Office2Office will cut the use of fuel by ten per cent when travelling in urban areas, as well as reducing emissions - features which may appeal to car loan customers.
Mike Weston, operations director at Office2Office, said: "We are working to reduce the carbon footprint of our fleet vehicles, particularly within the London area."
Earlier this year, Mercedes launched the latest version of it's A Class range, which it claimed to be "safer, more economical and even greener than before".
The EC-Start function is to be made available on some models from March next year.
