Jay Leno test drives a sports car for a change
Jul 8 2010When you are a connoisseur of something, you want to explore all facets of it and do not wish to restrict yourself to any particular category or type. Jay Leno is one such connoisseur and collector of cars. Though he is the owner of some of the most well known and exotic brands, having either bought them without any Car Credit or Car Finance arrangement or has been fortunate enough to have been gifted to him, we have not heard much about his fascination for sports cars.
But as mentioned above, a true collector like him will not mind looking at any category of cars and when a Spanish company Tramontana presented him with the opportunity of looking at their two-seater sports vehicle with the classic V12 MERCEDES engine, he grabbed it with both hands and test drove it. The company is not a big one having got into this niche segment of sports cars in the year 2007.
They were however smart enough to wrap the engine with carbon fiber and position it in a chassis of carbon fiber to get a superb output of 720hp. It can make the dash from 0 to 60 in just 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of over 200 mph.
Jay Leno has just added another feather to his already illustrious cap by test driving this sports car.
