Michael Jackson’s Mercedes sold
Feb 21 2010The news is that one of the cars bought by the late singing star Michael Jackson in 1985 – a MERCEDES-BENZ 500 SEL and black in colour has been sold for £63,000. This was bought by Jackson when he was at his peak and since it was sold at one of the prestigious auctions at New York City by Julien, the car must have been bought outright and not through any car loan or Car Credit scheme.
This car got sold along with the well known white glove worn by him in 1983 and this one that is studded with diamonds fetched an amazing £250,000. These were part of the memorabilia that were auctioned
It is interesting to note that Jackson had purchased this MERCEDES just to move around his huge Never land estate of about 2600 acres, where he spent close to twenty five years. This was from 1980 to 2005.
After using it for a while, he decided to gift it to his aunt. The vehicle delivers a power of 302bhp through its 5 liter V8 engine and the four speed gearbox.
This Mercedes model also has climate control, sensor for gauging the temperature outside and leather seats that are electrically powered, besides a stunning audio system.
