Goodwood festival launched
Mar 23 2009Fans of fast cars and those looking for used cars could head to the Goodwood festival this summer.
Organisers of this year's Festival of Speed, held from July 3rd to 5th, have announced an impressive line-up that will see plenty of opportunity to catch some of the world's fastest cars sprinting around the Goodwood circuit.
There will also be a wide selection of top cars on display at the event, offering food for thought for people looking for used cars.
Among those at the event to launch this year's programme were the likes of former Formula One world champion Damon Hill, rally giant Rauno Aaltonen and Le Mans driver Richard Attwood.
This year is likely to see plenty of fanfare surrounding the iconic Mini, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, offering those interested in used cars with the chance to choose a retro vehicle.
Meanwhile, German manufacturer Porsche will also be showing off its heritage at the event in July as the car maker celebrates 40 years of production.
Porsche will be showing off its world famous 917 vehicle, which helped establish the company as a major force in the supercar segment of the industry.
