MINI to unveil fastest premium cabriolet
Feb 11 2009Car Credit customers may be interested to read that the world's fastest small premium cabriolet is set to be unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show.
MINI will unveil its John Cooper Works Convertible on March 3rd, which will be on sale to car credit customers in the UK from March 28th.
The model boasts the same modifications as the Hatch version to provide a high performance drive, benefiting from a 11.6-litre turbocharged engine capable of producing 211 horsepower.
The petrol powertrain is a revised version of the unit found in the MINI Cooper S model - named What Car? Best hot hatch 2009 - and is the same as that fitted in MINI's Challenge race car, which may appeal to car credit customers with a preference for sporty models.
Kit includes air conditioning, a bespoke John Cooper Works Alcantara steering wheel and floor mats, in addition to a piano black interior.
Jurgen Hedrich, MINI Plant Oxford's new managing director, said: "The launch of the new MINI John Cooper Works Convertible is incredibly important as it signifies that our complete model line-up is now back in production across MINI's UK production facilities."
