Car manufacturer MINI has been celebrating the company's heritage as well as its future at this year's Mini United event.
Held at Silverstone, the extravaganza saw live music from the likes of Paul Weller and Calvin Harris, while visitors were able to enjoy a range of Mini-themed events, including racing, stunt driving and impressive car displays.
Fans at the racetrack were also able to witness the launch of three new Minis, in the form of the Mini 50 Camden, Mini 50 Mayfair and Mini John Cooper Works World Championship 50, all of which have been launched to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary.
The firm also unveiled a new version of a unique classic Mini owned by former Beetle George Harrison, which will be auctioned in aid of the Material World Charitable Foundation, established by the musician in 1973.
His widow, Olivia, said: "George was a huge Mini fan and he would have loved this new version. The fact that the 50th anniversary celebrations for Mini will also benefit our foundation has made it an enjoyable as well as meaningful collaboration."
The event is likely to have inspired more people looking for used cars to search out some iconic Minis.
It was 50 years ago this month that the first Mini car rolled off the production lines at the company's factory in Cowley, which is now known as Plant Oxford.
