RENAULT gave car loan customers a tantalising glimpse of a new coupe over the weekend, unveiling it at the Cannes Film Festival.
According to Top Gear, the firm's new two-door Laguna also did laps around the Monaco Grand Prix circuit as officials build up to its full release to Car Finance customers.
New pictures of the model first appeared earlier in the year and a concept car was shown off in Frankfurt in 2007.
Top Gear reports: "It will arrive at 62mph in under seven seconds via an auto six-speed transmission, has the same four-wheel steer as the saloon, and turns up on either 17 or 18-inch wheels."
The current Laguna is a four-door saloon featuring five different variations including the GT and luxurious Initiale.
GT versions of the model include 18-inch celsium alloy wheels and front sports seats boasting the GT logo.
