Drivers of FORD Mondeo vehicles are more likely to break speed limits than motorists in any other model of car, new research has found.
The report by charity Cumbria Safety Cameras (CSC) found that drivers of the popular model are more likely to rack up speeding fines which, in turn, will affect Car Loans and Car Credit decisions in the future.
Those driving models including the Ford Focus, VAUXHALL Vectra and Volkswagen's Golf and Passatt vehicles are also likely to break speed limits. However, Whatcar? reports that the figures do not take into account that many customers undertake a Used Car Search for Ford vehicles, making it the most popular brand in the UK.
CSC spokesman Steve Callaghan told the news provider: "You would think more powerful marques would feature in the top ten but they are marketed to a group of drivers who seem to be more responsible."
The Ford Mondeo has been one of Ford's most popular cars since its introduction on 1993.
