Dodge entering the compact car market

With so many top brands entering the lucrative compact car market, it was no surprise that Dodge decided to throw its hat into the ring as well. The car maker has hinted at coming out with their version of a compact car very soon. Consumers around the world have been going back to compact cars, thanks to the conveniences of fuel economy, easy to drive and of course the fact that bigger cars have become quite expensive. Compact car makers have also been tying up with finance institutions to offer the best in Car Finance and that has also helped spur sales.
The vehicle would have three doors and a front that slopes low towards the ground, quite aggressive in its styling and real large wheels. Some of the other features still at the design stage seem to indicate that Dodge will come with a really different concept car.
Ever since Sergio Marchionne assumed control, he has indicated his intention of introducing more compact car models and this initiative is in keeping with that plan. One of the future plans also includes a compact FIAT that will be rebranded and sold as a Dodge vehicle.
