The two- SEAT auto market has not been seeing much action dwarfed as it is by news of the more popular small compact cars and the big sedans. Moreover, in terms of concept, what is making news is the emphasis of auto companies to go green with their vehicles and not much attention is paid to the two-seat niche.
FIAT however is not taking it easy and is planning the KTM X-Bow to be its answer to its competitor – Lotus Exige. This update is contrary to the ones released on the eminent launch of the Abarth 500 Speedster as well as the two-seater coupe.
This limited - edition mid-engine roadster would be out by 2013 and is expected to bypass X-Bow’s AUDI TFSI for the newly produced 1.8 litre turbocharged one that would use petrol. It will no doubt be offered under attractive Car Finance and Car Credit schemes once launched.
The engine is quite powerful and would be able to deliver more than 200hp with the capacity to reach 100km/hr in less than 4 seconds.
The exterior would be nevertheless different to the X-Bow and only about 2000 units are expected to be produced.
