The Geneva Motor Show saw many spectators take some time to stop at the Abarth kiosk to look at the Abarth 500C as well as the Abarth Punto Evo. Both these vehicles are a result of the collaboration with FIAT and will be sold through dealers backed by attractive Car Loans.
While the 500c vehicle has an interesting two tone look with it being painted half white and half black, the Punto Evo stands resplendent with its white and red striking accents.
The 500c boasts of 138 horsepower delivered through its 1.4 liter engine that has been suitably turbocharged. Though this gets the car from zero to a hundred in just 8.1 seconds, it is still much slower than the MINI Cooper by close to a second. But it scores on fuel efficiency.
The Punto on the other hand can achieve a speed of 100km/hr in hardly 7.9 seconds and that is due to its Garrett turbocharger 1.4 liter Multiair engine.
The other changes are larger front bumpers and new look bumpers at the rear with enough room for twin exhaust ducts. The models also have much better braking systems. These models will first be sold in Europe and Japan.
