Ford’s new technology to save fuel

May 21 2010 Ford has always been at the forefront of introducing new technology and their latest in-built system named MyFord touch is yet another offering for die hard Ford enthusiasts to feel good about the brand.
It is a suite of features aimed at helping drivers make best use of fuel and in these tough times, a very welcome innovation. This initiative takes the Smart Gauge and EcoGuide systems developed for the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid further and feeds the driver with real-time information about the fuel status. Ford claims that this initiative can really make a difference and when drivers are provided real-time data on fuel status as well as help in determining the shortest and best route to get to a destination, they respond much better and the overall result can be a 15% saving in fuel consumption.
This technology will make its debut with the 2011 Ford Edge and will be fitted on all 2012 Ford Focus vehicles. This should really motivate people to buy these vehicles on easy car loan and car finance schemes as they will be not only saving on money but also contributing to a greener environment.
