Hyundai i800 aimed at car finance customers with big broods
Hyundai i800 aimed at car finance customers with big broods
May 9 2008
Drivers looking for extra space for a big family can now travel in affordable style thanks to a new Hyundai.
Car loan customers looking for space and luxury could be tempted by the i800's ability to carry eight rather than seven people.
The maker claims the model will still have double the boot space of some estate cars even will the full eight on board.
Managing director of Hyundai UK Tony Whitehorn said: "Anyone wanting to carry eight people in car-like comfort currently has to take two cars or spend a lot more than £20,000."
The new model will arrive in showrooms on June 20th with Car Finance customers possibly tempted by its price tag of £19,495.
Bosses at Hyundai hope to avoid a mini-bus feel with the model, which has two rear benches to fit in its impressive passenger total.
A two-tone trim, privacy glass and a six-speaker audio system could also appeal to car loan customers who like their luxury options.
Hyundai has recently said it no longer plans to develop a pickup truck for the US market due to concerns over rising oil and petrol prices, Reuters reports.
