For some strange reason, the names "Justin Bieber" and "Ferrari" just don't seem to go together. Words like "train set" or "Xbox" seem to fit better. Yet the singer has been snapped during 2011 driving a snarling, purring, Ferrari F430; awesome power coiled up dangerously beneath its flat black-grey shell.
Without wishing to sound mean, he looks a bit like a little boy playing at driving in Uncle Ray's sports car, but there is no doubting it - the young star really does own this handsome beast and drives around in it. Of course, with talent-borne success like his, he does not need to worry about sourcing a car finance deal. Wouldn't it be great to walk into a showroom, point at a gleaming Ferrari F430 and say "I'll take it." When the salesman enquires about car credit, you would just say "It's OK, I'll pay cash.
Well, dream over. What attracted Mr Bieber to the Ferrari F430? For one thing, the traction this growling animal (the car, not the singer) can muster is breathtaking, thanks to its electronically controlled differential. If you opt for the clutchless paddle-shift gear change, you will feel you are driving a Formula One racer. The mid-mounted 483bhp 4.3litre V8 engine delivers effortless performance, but if you can control your inner Jenson Button, you might squeeze 15.4 mpg out of it.
Unless you are a multi-millionaire international superstar, though, your chances of getting hold of one are slim. They are exceptionally scarce and jaw-droppingly expensive. Forget car credit - remortgage your house: the Ferrari F430 Scuderia weighs in at around £170,000. However, it is sublimely, heart-stoppingly gorgeous and fabulous to drive. Lucky Mr Bieber.
