MINI’s new concept car

Aug 21 2010 MINI has been busy working on a concept car that would be at the entry level and which it would be unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show next year. It is expected to be a two-seater one although a three-seater capacity is not being totally ruled out. It would have a much shortened wheelbase that could make it look similar to the Toyota iQ. There is no doubt that the company would aggressively promote it through good car credit finance schemes.
The company wants to introduce a compact model and thinks that to be the right strategy for the brand though profitability concerns remain as far as this category is concerned. Companies making small cars are not able to make the kind of profits they can make from bigger cars.
The names being considered for this compact vehicle are MINI Minor as well as MINI Mini. The vehicle is ultimately expected to get a retro look similar to Spiritual which made its debut at Geneva. That was in the year 1997 and four years later, the famous Cooper made its presence felt in the market.
