Mercedes SUV – the electric version is here

Jan 24 2010 The good news is that the Mercedes SUV will be available in a gas/electric version and this will be known as the ML450 Hybrid 4 Matic. The bad news is that those intending to take this Mercedes from a longer duration perspective will be disappointed to discover that the company is offering this model only for duration of three years on a special lease only consideration of $659 per month and for a period of five years at $549 per month. Hence the chances of taking it on approved car finance or on cheap car credit terms do not exist.
This vehicle has a 3.5 litre Atkinson cycle V6 apart from dual magneto electric motors as well as an advanced hybrid module that is expected to provide fuel economy and cut costs by as much as 46% when compared to the V8 Mercedes Benz ML 550. The dual electric motors are so designed that they perform different functions as one of them is attached to the transmission output and delivering an output of 80HP. The second one that combines magnets and electric wires helps boost the acceleration of the engine.
Unfortunately, this vehicle will not be available on second hand basis.
