Modern drivers including car credit customers 'less likely to fix problems themselves'

A survey shows modern drivers are giving up on home mechanics and going straight to the garage.
A poll by Castrol says only around 14 per cent of men will now take repairs into their own hands, Car Credit customers could be interested to know.
The research involving 1,360 people and possibly Car Finance customers also revealed three in four men will now turn straight to the professionals for even simple tasks.
Rob Stroud of Castrol said: 'It seems that less and less modern-day males are able to look after their vehicles themselves.'
He added basic tasks like topping up oil can be done at home but motorists should ensure they know what they are doing before taking on too much.
The survey also found 87 per cent of women would rather seek professional help or get the advice of partners when it comes to car issues.
