The number of people viewing the thousands of cars for sale and new vehicles on display at this year's British Motor Show is expected to be higher than two years ago, organisers have said.
Kristy Perkinson, marketing director for the show, said the organisers were "absolutely delighted" the second motor show held in London's Docklands.
The manufacturers and other motoring companies "must be applauded" for their "amazing efforts", Ms Perkinson stated, noting that exhibitors had reported an increase on sales and leads this year.
"Press and visitor response to the show has also been excellent with some amazing coverage and we’re expecting to report a good increase on the gate from 2006 when the show closes on Sunday night," she said.
"We look forward to starting plans for the 2010 show."
Among the cars on sale at this year's event were a range of electric-powered vehicles featured in the Electric Vehicle Village, sponsored by Co-operative insurance.
One of the cars on display was the Super Light Car made by NICE Car Company.
