Renault’s concept vehicle

Aug 13 2010
The concept vehicle category is something that every brand has been eyeing for some time now and while others have already made their move, Renault has been a bit behind the curve in bringing out its own version.
That it is about to do so is good news for its fans. This vehicle to be called DeZir would be a two-seat coupe and the Z in the name is supposed to be standing for the zero emission targets that most brands want their cars to achieve. The vehicle will be an all-electric one and is bound to get a lot of support from buyers through car finance and car credit arrangements.
This would be the premier project undertaken by Laurens van den Acker, who heads design at the company and the aim has been to present a car that would embrace simplicity, warmth and sleekness of movement.
The design itself is such that the vehicle would have big wheel arches and a rather wide grille at the front that extends right up to the headlights. The rear would also feature a rather large mouth. The interior would be mainly in white to convey a feeling of lightness and would have simple curves.
