Some positive news from Toyota

Sep 7 2010 After the spate of bad news in recent months, there is something to cheer for Toyota fans. The car maker’s Toyota FT-86 is being readied for a launch in November 2011, despite rumours that it might be delayed till the year 2013. The company will make sure and hope that this time there are no negative surprises in terms of having to recall any of the cars due to technical glitches and will surely come out with attractive cash discounts as well as car finance schemes to pull people back to the brand that has taken some beating recently.
The company officials have confirmed that they wish to launch as per their original plan and have completed 50% of the production version. With regard to styling, they said it would look similar to the concept with some minor changes. The shape would not undergo any change.
Just to refresh memory, the FT-86 was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show last year and it featured a two liter Subaru engine along with ADVICS brakes as well as a rear-wheel drive facility.
