The Polestar – Volvo innovation

May 30 2010
Polestar that has had a very long and highly successful association with Volvo on the racing track is now ready to work on the ideal street car, free from the limitations and restrictions imposed on it when developing racing cars. Their close association will bring to the fore the Volvo C30 Polestar Performance Concept Prototype that is an outcome of the Engine Optimization effort that has been put in by Polestar.
Volvo car dealers from whom Volvo cars are already being bought by customers using the best of car loan schemes will now sell this product as well without affecting the original warranty terms and conditions. The fuel emission and consumption norms already certified will also not undergo any change.
Polestar through this product is aiming to strengthen the already strong driving experience that customers have liked about the C30 and is making a statement about the link that has enabled them to give off their best for Volvo when it comes to racing cars.
Polestar has made the intercooler larger and also added a KKK 26 turbocharger to the already powerful 2.5-liter T5 engine and this pushes up the power capacity from 227 hp to a whopping 405hp.
