If you have been holding back on your next auto finance deal in anticipation of the new Vauxhall Ampera, we have good news for you: the company has opened its order books for this model and the first deliveries will be in May.
The eagerly awaited car, which is based on Chevrolet’s Volt, will arrive at 23 selected UK showrooms during the course of the next few months. The car features parent company General Motor’s trademark extended range technology. In Europe it is sold as an Opel Ampera.
The petrol hybrid car will be sold with a choice of three trim levels, although UK buyers will only be able to order the entry level model in May. Prices start at £29,995 – after the government’s plug-in grant has been taken into account. The entry level model is equipped with a whole array of standard features including a seven-inch touch-screen, DAB radio, alloy wheels and cruise control.
The mid-range model, called Postiv, comes with heated front seats, leather interior, a rear view camera and rear/front parking sensors. After taking into account the plug-in grant, this one sells for £32,250.
The Electron is the top model in the range. It comes with a top quality infotainment unit that includes a satellite navigation system, a touch screen, DVD video player, bespoke Bose Energy Efficient Series sound system, voice controlled navigation, 30Gb hard-disc drive, music system and a telephone.
The Electron is priced at £33,995 after deducting the £5,000 government grant. It can be ordered immediately.
