The finance you need The car you want

A number of people who drive for work purposes could find that they need to use Car Finance to invest in a new model after falling asleep at the wheel.

Research by vehicle firm Skoda has found that one in six work drivers never take a break from driving during their working day - running the risk of dozing off, having an accident and finding themselves with Bad Credit.

While 65 per cent of drivers try to remember to stick to regular breaks, ten per cent of respondents were found to spend more than 30 hours in the driving SEAT every week.

Meanwhile, one in seven respondents stated that they would consider getting a new job if it meant they could spend less time at the wheel.

Head of business sales at Skoda Martin Burke said: "When it comes to work-related travel, the car remains the business tool of choice. Benefits of face-to-face interaction and a break from the office clearly offset the nuisance of traffic congestion for most workers."

Earlier findings from Brake, the road safety charity, found that ten per cent of work drivers have fallen asleep at the wheel over the past 12 months.
