'Good used car deals available'
Feb 18 2009Motorists looking for used cars are being advised that there are still good deals to be had despite a rise in prices.
British Car Auctions has said that used cars can still be found at good prices to suit every budget, with a wide range of vehicles and cars of high quality currently on the market.
"Ex-fleet cars represent excellent value for money for used car buyers, as they are typically popular makes and models around three years old and 60,000 miles that have been well-serviced during their working life. As a best value buy, they are hard to beat," suggested PR manager at the firm Tim Naylor.
However, the firm issued some tips to motorists planning to get a used car at an auction - including knowing what they want beforehand and have a rough idea of what the vehicle they plan to bid on is worth.
Earlier this month reported that prices of used 4x4s were encouraging.
