Speed cameras being installed across a stretch of the M27 in Hampshire are set to crack down on motorists who drive too fast - potentially including Car Loans customers.
The cameras, which sit atop tall yellow poles, are being erected while work is carried out to widen the motorway, the Southern Daily Echo reports.
According to the Highways Agency, responsible for putting the cameras up, they will help guard the safety of those working on the road.
"We use safety cameras, including average speed cameras, to enforce speed limits at roadworks where road speeds are lowered and drivers are likely to speed," commented a Highways Agency spokeswoman.
"Essentially, the cameras are used to protect the workforce, motorists and keep traffic moving through the roadworks."
But the publication reports that the cameras have been dubbed "yellow vultures" as they prepare to snap pictures of anyone found to be travelling above 50 mph.
It is thought that the £36 million job will run for 15 months.
