Car production in the UK is higher than is has been for two years, meaning car loan customers have more models to choose from than usual.
Figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) show 174,691 vehicles were built in April, upping the amount of models available to people thinking of taking out Car Finance for a new vehicle.
Of the total, 152,726 were cars while 21,965 were commercial vehicles such as vans and lorries.
SMMT chief executive said Paul Everitt said: "The latest UK car production figures have resulted in the best April volumes since 1998."
The figures seem to suggest demand for new cars remains high despite ongoing economic uncertainty.
Commercial vehicle figures released by the organisation indicate this area is experiencing the best level of growth since August 1997.
Mr Everitt also said all manufacturers did well in April, which provided welcome economic news during a "difficult period".
The SMMT aims to encourage and promote the interests of the motor industry at home and abroad.
