Continental takes top awards
Apr 3 2009Tyre manufacturer Continental has scooped some of the top awards for safety by independent consumer group Which?, the firm has revealed.
The announcement could result in more used car drivers choosing to buy Continental tyres for their vehicles, with the company winning several categories.
Continental’s ContiPremiumContact 2 tyre has been named a Which? Best Buys in two sizes in the consumer organisation's latest report.
Among the plaudits for the Continental brand, Which? said; "The ContiPremiumContact 2 offers first-rate handling on dry roads, good wet and dry braking and good resistance to aquaplaning in bends and on straight roads."
Commenting on the success, Scott Benbow, product manager at Continental, said: "The Continental car tyre range has really shown its pedigree. All our products are developed with safety in mind without compromising on other performance aspects."
A growing number of people are choosing to purchase used cars as the economic downturn deepens, due to the reduced prices that can be found.
