Corolla tops used car review

In news that may be of interest to used Car Loans customers, the TOYOTA Corolla has topped a used car review that lists the most reliable cars in the second-hand market.

Corollas built between 2000 and 2002 are the most sturdy used cars in the UK, with only a three per cent fault rate, according to What Car?.

The Corolla was introduced to the world in the mid-1960s and was dubbed the world's bestselling car 30 years later.

David Buttner, Toyota senior executive director, said: "More than any other car, Corolla built the reputation of the Japanese automotive industry - and that of Toyota Motor Corporation."

Japanese car manufacturers claimed six of the top ten most places in the survey, most of which were HONDA vehicles.

The study analysed data from 26 manufacturers and 133 different models - a total of 35,000 cars.

Since its launch, a Corolla car has been sold to a new buyer or a Used Car Loans customer every 40 seconds.
