Car Loans customers driving on the UK's roads this month will be in for a treat after new research found that traffic in January moves an average of ten per cent faster than at any other time of the year.
A study by the RAC Foundation offered Car Finance customers relief after a busy Christmas period, with weekend drivers in January experiencing as much as 20 per cent less traffic on the roads.
There are nine per cent fewer deaths on Britain's roads at weekends, with peak casualties occurring at rush hour on Friday evenings, Car Credit customers may like to know.
Sheila Rainger, acting director of the RAC Foundation, said: "While weekend motoring is still a more relaxed, safer and more social affair than the workday commute, this is being challenged by rising levels of congestion and a hardcore of drink-drivers who refuse to accept that they must leave the keys at home before partying."
Research by RAC Foundation published before Christmas found that accident rates double in the run up to the festive season.
