Loans customers say bye-bye to the Vectra

Car Loans customers with a preference for VAUXHALL vehicles might wish to take note of a new development at the manufacturer.

Production of its popular Vectra line is set to be drawn to a close, with a new replacement line taking its place from July next year.

The new name that buyers will be writing on their Car Credit forms is the Insignia, a model which Alain Visser of GM Europe promises will retain Vauxhall's core value of "dynamic performance".

"In the new Insignia, this defining characteristic is realised by sophisticated powertrain technology, active safety and the interface between driver and car," he continued.

"The Insignia's level of comfort and environmental friendliness is unrivalled even among considerably more expensive competitors."

It marks the end of an era for Vauxhall, whose Vectra models were in production for twelve years. In total, it racked up more than a million UK sales - which suggests a good deal of Car Finance may have been taken out on the saloon.

Earlier this year, Vauxhall announced the return of the Sri badge to its Corsa range in three-door and four-door versions.
