Mitsubishi – Ever popular

Jan 6 2010 The first car bearing the Mitsubishi name was unveiled in the year 1917 and it was a seven – seater Mitsubishi. However, it was not until the early part of 1960s that the Mitsubishi 500 was launched to cater to the heavy demand for business oriented vehicles. With the continued success of this Mitsubishi vehicle, the company thought it fit to form Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in the year 1970.

Mitsubishi then went from strength to strength in exporting their brand of vehicles and by forging alliances with other reputed companies in other parts of the world. The popular Mitsubishi models that made a mark were the Mitsubishi Lancer, Mitsubishi Outlander, Mitsubishi Shogun Sport and the Mitsubishi Grandis.

Mitsubishi was also clever enough to provide a wide range of cars to cater to demand. The Mitsubishi Colt for instance had a sporty look while the Mitsubishi Lancer is an executive sedan. Both these Mitsubishi models are still going strong and are testimony to the tremendous appeal of the Mitsubishi brand.

In the year 2000, Mitsubishi came out with its four – door cross over SUV in the Mitsubishi Outlander and went a step further by introducing a mid-size SUV in the form of the Mitsubishi Shogun.

Both these Mitsubishi models are still going strong.
