Car maker Skoda is selling its new Fabia model as a fuel-efficient, low-cost runner.
The estate car went on sale earlier this week at a cost of between £9,360 and £13,775, Car Finance customers may be interested to read.
Commenting on the launch, the firm said: "Skoda's network of nearly 130 retailers is expecting big demand for the new model. Over 30,000 examples of its predecessor were sold between 2001 and 2007 and the 2008 version looks set to do even better."
The model could also boost the firm's image as a green manufacturer, with the base Fabia Estate 1 model's 1.2-litre engine producing 140 grammes of CO2 per kilometre.
Meanwhile, the 1.9-litre turbodiesel version of the Fabia 2 achieves an output of 129 grammes of CO2 per kilometre.
According to the Sun, the new estate has "grown in size and quality", now offering an extra 235 litres in the load area, which measures 1,460 litres.
