The NISSAN Leaf is the first electric car from Japanese auto makers Nissan that will go on sale next year. Nissan claims that it’s the first affordable electric car that will have zero emissions. The Nissan Leaf is a medium size hatchback that can SEAT five adults. It has a range of 100 miles which should meet the daily driving needs of most people. Interestingly Nissan has chosen to name their zero emission car the leaf as in nature it’s the leaf that purifies the air. The Nissan Leaf has been designed to look and feel like a family car and the batteries have been cleverly stacked under the seats.
The interior is quite spacious and comfortable. The boot is reasonably sized also. There are subtle touches to the exterior of the car and to it´s under belly to make it slip through the air. The electric motor delivers 107 horsepower which should make it capable of holding its own in city traffic and on motorways. Interested buyers can start working on car financing to get this zero fuel, zero emission car. The maintenance costs should also be near zero. The Nissan Leaf is bound to generate a lot of interest among car buyers around the world.
