Porsche Breaks Its Vow On Diesels
Nov 2 2009Porsche had sworn never to put a diesel in any car they produced. But market forces have worked against them since they took on making SUVs. The Porsche Cayenne now has a diesel engine available. Porsche has not built a diesel engine but have opted to use an AUDI V6. The turbo charged 3.0L engine offers the best mix of power and economy. Porsche has gone to a great extent to damp the noise that a diesel engine produces and have managed to do quite a good job at that. The six speeds Triptronic works the best power out of the engine.
Inside the diesel Cayenne is the same as the petrol version. You will need to pay three thousand pounds extra for the diesel version. So when you work out your vehicle finance remember to tack this in. The Porsche Cayenne is more economical and Porsche has put in a lot of hard work to make the diesel version an excellent and competitive SUV. Finding vehicle finance may need some effort. But if you had planned on buying a Porsche Cayenne you can easily come up with the extra three thousand pounds and you must have sorted out the vehicle finance. If you want to get a panoramic roof, Bluetooth and a host of extras you will need to talk to a Porsche dealer about the cost of options.
