Renault's latest Espace model is a standard setter in terms of people carriers, a reviewer has claimed.

Car Finance customers may be interested to read that Parker's feels the car combines space with sophistication and a well-planned interior.

The most recent offering is the first all-steel Espace and travels well over bumpy surfaces, steering lightly and coming with a range of petrol and diesel power trains.

Parker's suggests that the 2.2-litre engine is the best for providing a satisfying drive.

The seats are supportive and easy to access, with legroom being adjustable and the model housing seven with ease.

Equipment as standard includes a CD player, traction control, automatic parking brake and headlamps, and electronic stability control. Optional extras such as rain-sensing wipers are also available.

Meanwhile, the model also delivers in the safety stakes, with curtain airbags fitted along every row of seats and a top rating of five stars from Euro NCAP.

Those planning to finance the purchase with Car Credit should expect to shell out £18,845 and insurance bills for groups 10 to 16.
