The latest rise in fuel prices has started taking its toll on fuel-thirsty car owners. Car dealers are already weary of giving part exchange on 4x4s and other fuel hungry cars. It is expected that the price of 4x4 cars is going to start spiraling downwards. Car owners will see the price of used SUVs and MPVs taking a downward turn. If you are thinking of buying a new fuel hungry vehicle, then think again. Arranging a car loan will get increasingly difficult and neither dealers nor Car Finance companies are going to offer a descent car loan for these cars. Right now is not the time to invest in a fuel guzzler. The running costs are going to be high and getting a reasonable car loan will be out of the question. It would be best to follow a ´wait and see´ policy. If you are thinking of selling your 4x4, now is not the right time. You can expect to loose a tidy sum when you try to sell it. With the financial crunch and rising costs of running and maintaining a car it would be best to park the gas guzzling vehicle and start using public transport.
