Scottish car finance customers to benefit from enhanced road safety?
Mar 6 2009Motorists in Scotland - such as Car Finance customers - could benefit from a new framework to enhance their road safety.
Car finance customers may be interested to read that an event is being held on March 9th in which Scottish government representatives will meet with organisations such as the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents Scottish group of the Institute of Road Safety Officers (IRSO) and Road Safety Scotland.
Various issues will be under discussion, including what the road safety priorities under the new framework should be.
"I hope the framework is going to enable road safety professionals to proceed with confidence with the various projects they're involved in, whether they focus on rural roads, young drivers or motorcyclists," commented Kathleen Braidwood, road safety officer at RoSPA Scotland.
Meanwhile, IRSO Scottish group chairman Jane Greer said that she hoped the conference would also seek to focus attention on the protection of vulnerable road users, which include pedestrians, children and cyclists.
