Suzuki to launch 'greenest 5-door petrol family car'
Feb 10 2009Britons planning to take out a car loan to invest in an eco-friendly model may be interested to read that Suzuki is launching the UK's greenest family five-door petrol car.
The brand's new Alto model generates CO2 emissions of 103 grams per kilometre and boosts Suzuki's line-up of low-emission to four.
In addition to low emissions, the vehicle is also fuel-efficient, achieving 64.2 miles to the gallon.
Those hoping to take out a car loan for one of the models will be able to get behind the wheel from March 1st, when the Alto will be available in showrooms.
David Seward, director of sales and marketing at Suzuki GB, commented that the brand has always tried to combine value with excitement when it comes to making new cars.
"Furthermore, being able to offer such an environmentally-friendly petrol engine is a rare proposition as we are one of very few manufacturers to break the 104 grams of CO2 barrier, as EU emissions targets become even stricter," he added.
In related news, Graeme Trudgill, technical and corporate affairs executive at the British Insurance Brokers' Association, said that drivers could also save money by opting for a low emitter as this could reduce their car insurance bracket.
