Motorists in Surrey paying off their Car Loans might want to take steps to ensure their vehicles do not become victims of crime.
Local drivers are being urged to be vigilant for offenders after a vehicle was broken into at a local beauty spot.
The vehicle was parked at Frensham Little Pond when thieves broke in, causing £200 worth of damage and making off with a handbag worth the same amount.
Police are warning that criminals are likely to be on the lookout at weekends when they know car parks at green spaces will be busiest.
To avoid such incidents, officers are advising drivers to park away from bushes and near to busy areas in well lit, open spots.
In addition, motorists are advised to remove their possessions from the vehicle to avoid tempting thieves.
A similar warning was given to drivers in Lewes recently after it became apparent that thieves had been spying on visitors parking at local beauty spots, the Sussex Express reports.
