The number of Car Loans customers undertaking Used Car Searches dropped during October, according to new statistics.
As the uncertain financial conditions began to hit, the number of used cars sold throughout the UK dipped to its lowest level in over a year, figures from EurotaxGlass's suggest.
However, the average price of a used car fell during the month, which means that car loans could stretch further when looking at Used Car Reviews. On vehicles which had clocked up over 100,000 miles, prices dropped by as much as five per cent.
Adrian Rushmore, managing editor of EurotaxGlass's, said: "It is difficult to measure whether the number of transacted deals is any worse than for the same period last year, but on balance, dealer sentiment is reflecting trading conditions that are slightly more difficult."
Further research by EurotaxGlass's found sales of used motorcycles increased by 3.3 per cent during October.
